Reading without registration
Articles can be read without an account. We do not ask readers to sign in to access free analysis. We do not provide personal recommendations based on identified political beliefs or infer a user's politics from their reading choices.
Site hosting and technical information
Our hosting provider may process IP addresses, basic request metadata, security events and diagnostics necessary to deliver the site and defend against abuse. Standard analytics may count aggregate page visits or performance metrics. The site loads external fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive network connection information from your browser.
Contact form information
When you send us a correction or question, the email address, message topic and text you submit are stored in a protected site database so the operator can review the issue. Please do not include passwords, payment card details, sensitive documents or unrelated personal information. Data is used only for the purpose of handling the request and related site improvements. To request deletion, use the contact page from the same email address and select the privacy category. Records are retained only as reasonably needed to respond or meet legal obligations and should be erased when no longer necessary.
Advertising and AdSense verification
CountryWhy has added the Google AdSense verification and publisher script while our site is reviewed. Advertising units are not currently active and review does not mean that Google has approved the website. Loading the AdSense script can send technical information, including your IP address and browser details, to Google even before advertisements appear. If advertisements are activated, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies for fraud prevention, measurement and advertising, subject to applicable rules and user choices. We will update this notice and provide any legally required consent controls before serving consent-requiring advertisements or enabling personalised advertising. External sources
Our reports link to official statistical bodies, parliamentary records and other external sources. Those services have their own policies. An external source citation does not mean that CountryWhy has an affiliation with the institution.
